A modern modular signalling system is now available to enhance the realism of your Free-mo layout. The Signal Cascade Module FCM-1 has been designed for quick and easy installation that will get your signals operational in no time. Crossovers on your layout can also be signalled with the CSM-2 Crossover Signal Module.

Although designed for Free-mo modules, the FCM-1 can be used on any model railroad layout where signals is required. Train detection is accomplished by routing the DCC track feeders through either the east or west air core transformers located on the Signal Cascade Module.

The three signal modules designed for Free-mo layouts remove the complication of wiring your signals by having all the components built onto the board. The Cascade Module, FCM-1, not only drives two signal heads but also has block detection for both the east and west blocks.

The FBM-2 is a block occupancy detector designed to connect to the Free-mo occupancy bus providing train detection for a section of track on a Free-mo module. RJ45 jacks make connections to other occupancy bus modules very simple.

Although designed for Free-mo modules, the FOM-1 can be used on any model railroad layout where optical detection is required. The external optical sensor, OPB704WZ, consist of an infrared LED (transmitter) and a photo transistor (receiver).

The FTM-1 board can operate in two different modes. Mode one allows for signal information to be repeated. For example, a STOP signal on the input will produce a STOP aspect on the output. An APPROACH signal on the input will produce an APPROACH aspect on the output.

This can be accomplished using target or search light signals that have three separate LEDs, or by using search light signals that use bi-color LEDs. The CSM-3 board operates similar to a Cascade Module.
