Jun 3, 2018 · The wavy mulchers above are what you get when you buy a mulch kit for a Pro deck. There are no wavy blades listed at the dealer for a MOD. I had to tell them how to find them (by looking at the mulch kit break down) OEM high lifts below come std with the MOD-View attachment 408624

Jun 14, 2022 · I just traded a 2008 Deere z520A with a 60" 7 iron pro deck (mulch kit installed), for a 2020 z930m with 100 hrs. The 930 has a 60" MOD deck. The dealer installed new blades, which are the ones I believe others refer to as the wavy kind, as they are not a flat-blade.

Jun 13, 2014 · I started with a John Deere tractor LT 155 and moved on to a used Exmark 44 inch with mulch kit. I was amazed how the mulch kit performed on sodded yards, but would take it off on occasion to cut over grown yards. After the Exmark, I went through two Toro's 48 inch with mulch kits. The Toro's were great and mulched very well.

Mar 1, 2012 · I will never buy another ztr without the Mulch on Demand deck. I have both a 48" standard 7ironPRO and a 54" 7ironPRO MOD deck. Honestly, both seem to leave the same cut quality and perform pretty similarly when discharging. With the MOD deck, it gives you options really, which is why I initially purchased one.

I had a 2006 mulch on demand and traded it in on a new 2007 , 757 non mulch on demand and got a aftermarket chute blocker and I am 100 times happier with this set up. The mod deck does have a decent cut and is very good for fall leaves. When you mulch it leaves a trail by the discharge.

It is amazing. Can't beat a green machine. Hope for the best with your cutting issues on the MOD Deck.

Some of my clients want their lawns mulched instead of clippings on the ground. My JD dealer says they have a regular mulching kit for about $300. The mulch on demand kit is $1200.
