Patrick McManus - Vashon-Maury Island Beachcomber
Patrick McManus, known to many as ‘Einstein’, was born on November 21, 1949, in Cook County, Illinois, and moved to Vashon Island 40 years ago. He passed away the morning of August 21, 2024, at his south end home. Patrick is survived by his adopted son, William McManus, and his daughter, island resident Halla McManus.
Fall sports are off to strong start at VHS and McMurray

Two unoccupied cars were crushed in the Tahlequah ferry dock parking lot on the afternoon of Saturday, Sept. 14, when a large madrona tree on the hill next to the parking lot fell into the lot. Vashon Island Fire & Rescue personnel responded to clear heavy limbs and brush that had covered the vehicles.
