Jan 13, 2023 · I played almost every new titles with my old i7 4790K and a recently purchased RTX 2080 SUPER OC at 3840x2160 at Ultra settings with some fps drops here and there, Recently i upgraded cpu for a Ryzen 5500. (Not the best choise). But i do get like 20+fps in games and almost overkill the previously mentioned settings.

Sep 27, 2021 · 2 GPUs might help with a streaming setup if it's possible to direct the camera stream encoding and RTX Broadcast Engine to the RTX 2080 and leave the 3080 to handle the rendering and game stream encoding. Another use case would be creating a virtual PC with its own dedicated GPU. There are video encoding workloads that might also benefit too.

If you've gotta have Nvidia though, the RTX 4070 is an alright card at it's MSRP. Like the rest of the RTX 40-series lineup-- it's overpriced, but it's the one that's closest to what would seem reasonable pricing for what it is. Another option could also be to wait. The 2080S isn't all that bad.
