Feb 19, 2021 · The Lord of Contagion is the same price point but can extend the range of its Contagion abilities and is an absolute blender in melee. The Lord of Virulence has a shooting attack and decent melee, but its aura ability is pretty bad and you don't even need him to unlock the Blight Bombardment stratagem, he just makes it cheaper.

Jan 14, 2022 · The lord of Virulence instead grants additional ap on a 6 to wound for ranged plague weapons (and with archcontaminator you have full wound reroll) and it WILL increase your overall damage by alot (specially when combined with Ferric Blight); plus cheaper bombardment against castles (as a nice little bonus).
