Feb 24, 2023 · A+B+Start and Select resets gen 3 if I remember correctly. The preview Sprite won't be shiny. You can then either open your menu to check or go directly into battle against your rival. The latter adds a few seconds to the reset. FRLE shiny Pokemon have a light blue summary screen instead of purple, which helps with checking Squirtle.

Jul 29, 2017 · Some of the green ones are pretty good, but some like Dragonite just look odd style-wise. Spearow/Fearow could have been reddish or even blue, but with the green, they look like they are sick. It's not so much the ones that are green shinies as much as it is the ones that look odd with a greener version of their original palette.

I am wonder if I move to a new area does the chance of a shiny encounter reset or does it stay the same across the whole region?
