Dec 29, 2008 · Your " freeplay" on a hydraulic linkage is almost non-existant. A good indicator that the clutch is out of adjust is the clutch brake starts to go away from the floor. Also note when your engagment moves to the top of the pedal travel. Any adjustment on the hydraulic side would vary by OEM and often there is no need or way to adjust.

The grease keeps the brake cool and keeps the friction material from wearing out prematurely, especially with a hydraulic or air assisted clutch linkage. Have a buddy depress the clutch to full to check travel or stroke to make sure the linkage is going full travel.

Mar 17, 2015 · Nope, If you are refering to solo, they hardly ever make it as long as a manual adjust. Some fleets run them just as a reason to avoid going into the shop to maintain adjustment. Eaton has some bullcrap procedure about resetting the wear tab and pulling the bellhousing back to pull the throwout farther is supposed to make it adjust when its stuck.

Feb 4, 2009 · Many times, simply re-bleeding the hydraulic clutch greatly improves operation. Did they check for proper adjustment and proper clutch brake squeeze? In all honesty, with a hydraulic set up, all the mechanisms are at the bottom and you don't have the same access like a conventional mechanical linkage as everything is actuated from the top on those.
