Jan 16, 2011 · The only issue I ever had with a stock block was when I sprayed my 434 to 950 HP, I cracked the deck at the steam holes on one bank, all 3 uppers. You should always check the steam holes when buying a used block. They do crack there occasionally. If you can afford it, Dart little M is the way to go.
