Does T-Mobile sell open box / refurbished phones as new? I
Sep 15, 2015 · According to the person at the T-Mobile store, they can't sell any phone as new twice. Even ones that are barely used and returned are still only resold as "Certified Pre-Owned". So I can't say for sure that the phone you got was not mispackaged through some sort of negligence, but if so, that's an exception, not the company practice.

Jul 29, 2015 · T-Mobile does sell used phones. My current phone, an LG F6, was purchased off their website 4 months ago, where it was listed as 'certified pre-owned'. I'm very happy with it, a large-screen, LTE-capable, reasonably fast phone for only 78 bucks. I don't know if Tmo got my phone as a trade-in or it was merely a leftover floor model.
