Turkey continued its strikes in Syria and Iraq for a second day following the terrorist attack on a defense company in Ankara, in what Turkey said were targeted hits on PKK terrorist locations.

Turkey launched fresh air strikes on Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) militants in Syria and Iraq overnight, hitting 47 targets, in response to a gun attack that killed five people in Ankara, Defence Minister Yasar Guler said on Thursday.

Turkey launched airstrikes late Wednesday in Kurdish-held parts of Syria and Iraq in retaliation for a deadly attack at a state-owned defense manufacturer in Ankara that saw at least two attackers kill four people and wound more than a dozen others.
