A taxi plowed into multiple people after it hopped a curb at Herald Square in Manhattan, sending three pedestrians to the hospital, according to police and fire officials.

Three pedestrians, including a 9-year-old boy, were transported to the hospital after a taxi cab jumped the curb and struck several people on the sidewalk.

Authorities confirm that the driver of a taxi cab, which jumped a curb and struck six pedestrians in New York City's Herald Square on Christmas Day, was experiencing a medical emergency at the time.
