An attempt at winning five games in a row was going as planned for the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night against the Sacramento Kings. Despite being without the All-Star center Joel Embiid, the Sixers were in control of the matchup heading into the fourth quarter.

Philly’s 4-game winning streak was snapped to open 2025 last night in Sacramento. The Kings knocked off the 76ers 113-107 despite 30 from Paul George. This is Golden State’s first game of the new year. They lost in their last outing 113-95 to the Cavaliers on December 30.

The Cincinnati Bengals close the season against the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road in Week 18. There, the Bengals will hope to keep fading playoff chances alive by doing their part in a primetime kickoff on Saturday night.
