When a new software update is released, it's always wise to wait a few days to see if other people have problems on their devices. If you happen to own a Pixel 6, you might want to hold off from grabbing Android 15, at least for now.

Although the update process is smooth and uneventful, some Pixel 6 users have complained that Android 15 is bricking their devices.

Users on Reddit have reported issues with the Pixel 6/6 Pro after updating to Android 15. The issue seems to be confined to the enabling of Private Spaces as users observe unresponsive devices. The Pixel 6 series had an issue in July with its factory reset function, which started bricking devices.

From the sounds of things it’s not actually the Android 15 update that’s causing the problems; it’s actually setting up the Private Space feature. At least three users have come across the same issue and posted about their experiences on Reddit. Two of those users had a Pixel 6, while a third had a Pixel 6 Pro.

As picked up by Android Police, “reports are emerging that the Android 15 update is causing Pixel 6 devices to brick unexpectedly, leaving them unusable… Google devices seem to be having trouble with Android 15 in general.

As of now, all we can suggest to Pixel 6 and 6 Pro owners is to consider delaying the Android 15 update until Google addresses these issues. Honestly, it's not such a big upgrade
