While there are rarer engines that Chevrolet has built, there is none rarer than the one used in this Corvette.

Chevrolet produced the rare LS6 V8 engine in the 1970s, with only 4,663 examples made. The LS6 engine was used in Chevelle, El Camino, and Corvette models, offering 450 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque.

Produced from 1964 to 1977, the Chevrolet Chevelle spawned ... and the optional big-block V8 engines came with more than 350 horsepower on tap. But the LS6 took things to a whole new level.
