Both the Alien and Predator franchises have seen new entries in the recent years, and according to 20th Century Studios‘ president Steve Asbell, a new Alien vs. Predator movie is likely to happen in the future.

Century Studios is charting an ambitious path forward with its Predator franchise, teasing projects including two new movies in 2025.

Century Studios is developing a new Aliens movie and revealed Prey director Dan Trachtenberg has already directed a second, secret Predator film.

Alien: Romulus was a successful return to form for the Alien franchise, grossing over $350 million worldwide. The original stars, Cailee Spaeny and David Jonsson, are likely to return for the Alien: Romulus sequel. A potential crossover film between Alien and Predator may happen if the individual franchises continue to do well.

2024 has been a particularly good year for Alien fans, as shortly after Alien: Romulus released, it was announced that iconic survival horror game Alien: Isolation is finally getting a sequel. Based on Asbell's recent comments, it seems that trend will continue as we head into 2025, and Predator fans will have plenty to look forward to as well.
