Henley Global has released its 2025 Henley Passport Index, the United States ranked 9th on the list, down from 7th last year.

The once-mighty US and UK passports have taken a notable hit in the 2025 Henley Passport Index rankings. The US, now placed at the 9th position with visa-free access to 186 destinations, marks its lowest ranking in decades.

A new ranking has shown that the Nigerian passport is the least desirable globally, occupying the bottom 18 position as Japan and Singapore jostle for number one.
