Boeing workers vote on wage deal as strike hangs in the balance
By Daniel Catchpole, Allison Lampert and Matt McKnight SEATTLE (Reuters) -Boeing factory workers voted on Wednesday on a new contract proposal that could end a more than five-week strike, in a crucial moment for the troubled planemaker as it wrestles with a deepening financial crisis.

The strike was set to cost Boeing $108 million per day in lost revenue, amounting to as much as $5.5 billion in losses should the work stoppage last 50 days, investment bank TD Cowen said in a report reviewed by ABC News at the outset of the dispute. So far, the strike has lasted 40 days.
Boeing loses $6.1 billion in Q3 following five-week strike
The company reached a tentative deal with its 33,000 employees, which includes a 35% wage increase over four years, a $7,000 signing bonus, and an increase in the company contributions to the members’ 401(k) plans.
