Murfreesboro police are continuing to investigate a crash that claimed the life of a 14-year-old high school student on Tuesday morning.Police believe that excessive speed may have played a factor in the crash at the intersection of Veterans Parkway and Kingdom Drive where the teen died and three others were injured.

A Rutherford County student died and three others were injured in a Tuesday morning crash that took place in Murfreesboro, according to officials.

One high school student, identified as a 14-year-old teenager, was killed in the Veterans Parkway crash, Murfreesboro Police Department reports. Three other individuals involved were treated for non-life threatening injuries. Now, Murfreesboro police are investigating if speed was a contributing factor in the deadly crash.
