The Florida High School Athletic Association boys basketball district tournaments for 2024-25 tip off Monday. The Times-Union looks ahead to this year's districts across Jacksonville and Northeast Florida.

Regional tournaments continued on Wednesday for high school hoops; we had days of games full of North Alabama teams competing in the regional semifinals in Jacksonville and Hanceville.

In the girls 7A tournament, Hillcrest (30-2) will play Florence (17-13) Friday. The Hoover Lady Bucs (28-4) are looking to win a fifth-straight state championship as they take on Sparkman (13-14). Paul Bryant (18-12) looks to survive and advance as they play Chelsea (24-7) Thursday.

The 2025 AHSAA basketball season has reached regionals. Regionals will take place between Tuesday through Feb. 20 in four different locations: Montgomery (Garrett Coliseum and Alabama State), Jacksonville and Hanceville. Winners and runners-up from regionals advance to the AHSAA state basketball tournament Feb. 24-March 1 at the BJCC.

It's officially regional tournament time for high school hoops in Alabama and North Alabama will have tons of teams competing in Jacksonville and Hanceville.
