Chick-fil-A vs. Popeye's is an eternal battle, and I love it. They keep each other in check, making sure both stay at the top of their game. And that's why they're both so delicious. Thus, it makes sense that one of the most requested food items people want me to recreate (and dominate) is always a "homemade Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich.

For the next several days, Chick-fil-A restaurants in Asheville and the Couth Carolina Upstate areas are offering free chicken sandwiches. The offer is available through Saturday, Jan. 25, at participating locations through the Chick-fil-A app. Locations will give away free original, spicy or grilled chicken sandwiches.

Chick-fil-A has one of the more uniquely formatted names throughout the fast food industry -- and as it turns out, there's a reason for that.
