Secretary of State Marco Rubio appeared on Fox News with Sean Hannity Wednesday night, defending President Donald Trump’s diplomatic efforts to resolve the Ukraine-Russia conflict and issuing a stern warning to Hamas following Trump’s “last warning” to release hostages in Gaza.
Hamas on Thursday brushed off President Donald Trump’s latest threat and reiterated that it will only free the remaining Israeli hostages in exchange for a lasting ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The group accused Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of trying to back out of the ceasefire agreement they reached in January.
Hamas freed the first five of six Israeli hostages in the latest exchange Saturday even as heightened tension between the adversaries clouded the future of the fragile ceasefire deal.

If anyone thinks Hamas is some type of quasi-benevolent, not so bad, kind of something less than the just despicable terrorists that they are, what more convincing do you need?”
The continuation of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire remains uncertain. President Donald Trump has signaled that he has no intentions of pushing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu away from a return to combat if Hamas doesn’t agree to terms to a new ceasefire proposal, which the Israelis have billed as being drafted by U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff.
