LOS ANGELES — LeBron James’ first triple-double after turning 40 was impressive enough. The fact that he did it one day after flying from Los Angeles to Atlanta and back just so he could cheer on his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes at the College Football Playoff championship game?
Few things in life are certain, but LeBron James rooting for the Ohio State Buckeyes is something that can never be questioned.

There were no signs of jet lag. James recorded a historic triple-double of 21 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists in 36 minutes. He punctuated the ageless performance with a highlight dunk that left his son Bronny James in disbelief.
Ohio State is rolling in the College Football Playoff national title game. And no one is enjoying it more than LeBron James. The Akron native, and known Ohio State fan, is in Atlanta for the game between the Buckeyes and Notre Dame for college football's national title.
LeBron James had 21 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds one day after flying to Atlanta and back to watch a football game on his day off, and the Los Angeles Lakers sent the Washington Wizards to their 11th consecutive defeat with a 111-88 victory.
There were quite a few celebrities on hand to watch the Buckeyes face the Fighting Irish with a national title on the line.
Lakers star LeBron James did not spend the off-day in between working on his jumpshot. He made the cross-country trip to Atlanta to cheer on his Ohio State Buckeyes as they won the College Football Playoff national championship,
LeBron James becomes the 2nd player in NBA history to record a triple-double at age 40, joining Karl Malone, who was 105 days older when he did it on Nov. 28, 2003.
