One of the last major hold-outs against USB-C has majorly loosened its grasp. All the accessories that come with Apple's newest iMac —the Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpad—ship with USB-C charging and connection ports, rather than the Lightning ports they have featured for nearly a decade.

The new M4 iMacs Apple revealed today come with a choice of keyboards, mice, and trackpads that charge via the USB-C standard instead of Apple’s proprietary connector and which are also now available for separate purchase.

The new models finally ditch the Lightning port for standard USB Type-C connections. The Magic Mouse is a wireless and rechargeable mouse with a Multi-Touch surface. This surface lets users make simple gestures like swiping between web pages and scrolling through documents.
