Today, we’re launching the first version of the Meta AI app: the assistant that gets to know your preferences, remembers context and is personalized to you. The app includes a Discover feed, a place to share and explore how others are using AI.

Facebook parent Meta Platforms on Tuesday launched a separate app for its Meta AI assistant, similar to those offered by Microsoft-backed OpenAI and Alphabet’s Google.

The artificial intelligence tool uses the fourth iteration of Meta’s Llama model, which Meta has touted as being more cost-efficient than competitors like ChatGPT and Gemini.
