Rejecting Lalu Prasad Yadav's proposal, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that he had mistakenly gone off track twice in the past, but will now stay in the ruling NDA alliance.

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar refrained from addressing questions about Prasad's cryptic "offer," which was downplayed by RJD supremo Lalu Prasad's son and political heir Tejashwi Yadav, though it received backing from ally Congress.

While speaking to reporters in the north Bihar district of Muzaffarpur, as part of a state-wide Pragati Yatra, Nitish Kumar quashed all rumours of joining hands with his former ally RJD in Bihar.

The JD(U), which has 12 MPs in the Lok Sabha, plays a pivotal role in bolstering the NDA’s numbers, as the BJP does not hold a majority in the Lower House of Parliament.
