Chef Chris Delgado opened the Wood Shack in 2017 at 1862 South 10th Street in Soulard. The restaurant relocated last year to its current, larger home at 1731 South Seventh Street.

Sandwiches remain the Wood Shack’s mission. I have eaten my way through much of the restaurant’s menu since it debuted in 2017, but I don’t remember ordering its take on an Italian beef before.
