In a color rush version of the rivalry, Army went with all-white uniforms while Navy wore all-blue. Combined with the snow, it gave some interesting visuals as Army blended into its surroundings.

In the summer, Marines will roll the sleeves on their woodland camouflage uniforms the way they now do on their desert cammies; in the winter, sleeves will be rolled down, according to the message.

This began with the USMC adopting a light grey and white oversuit in their pixilated digital pattern. That lightweight suit is a huge improvement over the dated M-85 Snow Camouflage, White, Arctic.
