Another company has sued Tiger Woods' Sun Day Red apparel line over a branding dispute. Last September, Tigeraire claimed that Sun Day Red “unlawfully hijacked” its logo, which also features a leaping tiger.

Puma has filed a notice of opposition over Sun Day Red's tiger logo, which it argues is too similar to its own.

Puma is pursuing legal action over Tiger Woods' Sun Day Red brand logo. Golf Digest reported that the German company filed a notice of opposition claiming the logo for Sun Day Red, the brand launched by Woods and TaylorMade Golf last year, is too similar to its own logo.

Footwear giant Puma has filed a lawsuit against Sun Day Red, Tiger Woods' clothing and sneaker brand, according to a filing with the US Patent and Trademark

The German sneaker and apparel company says the Sun Day Red logo is too similar to the logo that Puma has been using since 1969. The company filed a petition with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office to prevent the TaylorMade-owned golf brand from being able to use its proposed mark.

According to a Jan. 2 filing with the U.S. Patent and Trademark office, Puma is opposing Sun Day Red’s “tiger logo” and “SDR tiger logo” that Woods is aiming to trademark for the use on eyewear, bags, golf towels, clothing, footwear, sports equipment and retail services.

Sun Day Red, a new apparel brand launched by Tiger Woods earlier this year is facing another lawsuit over its logo, this time from Puma.
