During today's Nintendo Direct, President Satoru Iwata announced details for Mewtwo, the first downloadable character for Smash Bros Wii U, 3DS.

Nintendo has confirmed previously-revealed DLC fighter Mewtwo will be purchasable if you don't meet the criteria to nab him as a free download, at least in Europe.

If you didn't qualify for a free Mewtwo code in Super Smash Bros, then you'll be pleased to hear that the Pokemon character is now on general sale.
