Clover mites appear to be tiny black bugs that look like poppy seeds, but they’re actually red. They are impressive little bugs whose females can produce up to 70 eggs at a time, all without a male.

Asian needle ants (Brachyponera chinensis) are small, stealthy invaders about 3/16 inch long. They prefer shady, moist areas like leaf litter, dead logs, firewood piles, and under rocks.
