Samsung Electronics has launched a 30.72 terabyte SAS SSD, the PM1643, which boasts the largest memory capacity ever for a single form factor storage device aimed at next-generation datacentres.
With storage needs ever increasing, Samsung announced that it has officially started mass production of the largest SAS SSD sporting a capacity of 30TB, with a wider range coming soon.
A new enterprise SSD product that supports 24G SAS connectivity. The 6th generation (128 layers) V-NAND is adopted for the NAND flash, and a large capacity model from 800GB to 30.72TB is lined up.
