Samoa Joe has commented on his return to AEW on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. The former AEW Champion made a surprise return to the company this week. He saved HOOK from a beatdown when The Patriarchy attacked him during his match with Christian Cage at AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage.

Samoa Joe has returned to AEW after a hiatus of six months. Joe made his return on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, helping Katsuyori Shibata save Hook from an attack at the hands of The Patriarchy.

Samoa Joe would make his way out to the ring and proceed to clear the ring, saving both Hook and Shibata, marking his return after being gone for the last few months.

Hook found himself at something of a disadvantage on Wednesday's "AEW Dynamite," after winning a match against Christian Cage by disqualification. Hook was attacked by Kip Sabian and Nick Wayne, leading to a numbers advantage for The Patriarchy.

Samoa Joe made his return to All Elite Wrestling on the January 15th episode of AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage by helping HOOK fight off the combined powers of The Patriarchy.

The former ROH & AEW World champion has been off filming Twisted Metal, but now he’s back to pick up (kinda) were he left off.
