A red flag warning indicates that temperatures, humidity levels, fuel moisture levels and wind speeds have formed favorable conditions for fires to rapidly spread.

Part of the Sacramento Valley is under a red flag warning for most of Monday, the Cal Fire Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit said on Sunday. The red flag warning will be in effect from 2 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Red flag warnings are usually only issued in the spring and fall weather seasons from Feb. 15 to April 30 and Oct. 1 to Dec. 15, according to the National Weather Service.
