TRENTON — As stewards of the Trenton Free Public Library, librarians and staff are used to handing out reference materials and library cards. Now toilet paper is on the list.

TRENTON, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Staffers at the public library in the New Jersey capital city of Trenton have begun rationing restroom supplies, after repeated incidents of vandalism and theft.

The Mid-City Branch Public Library has been closed for most of the past two weeks after a major plumbing incident in late January spread toilet water and fecal matter across the first floor.
