Fans lash out after Washington Commanders owner Josh Harris made it clear that the team is not changing back to the Redskins.

Following a nearly two-year rebranding process, Washington landed on Commanders ahead of the 2022 season. The name wasn’t a hit. It’s still not a fan favorite, but more inside and outside team headquarters began embracing the nickname over the 12-5 regular season and two road playoff wins before losing at Philadelphia in the NFC championship.

Since the Washington, D.C. NFL team changed its name to the Commanders in 2020, some fans have wanted to see the return of the squad's old name and logo—despite origins that have been criticized as offensive or racist. But don't expect the new name to be going anywhere anytime soon.
