The Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 clearly wants to be the definitive collection that every Metal Gear fan is going to want and, well, so far so good based on what I’ve played.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, the remake of the original Metal Gear Solid 3, will release on August 28, 2025, according to what appears to be a PlayStation Store leak.

While Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 may be somewhat spotty in its performance, it’s a very important release in terms of video game history and preservation.

With that said, Konami’s first post-Kojima release is the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1, putting together the three big PS1 and PS2 games that cemented the legacy of the franchise.
