“This animated series chronicles the further adventures of renegade scientist Dr. Jumba Jookiba’s beloved Experiment 626, who is now living happily as Lilo’s alien buddy Stitch.

Sometimes called “Lilo & Stitch Day,” this event is celebrated on June 26. In case you don't remember your Disney trivia, Stitch was originally referred to as Experiment 626.

Lilo develops a close bond with Stitch (née Experiment 626) through the Hawaiian concept of “ohana,” which means family — and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.
