KENTUCKY, USA — Jim Beam plans to ramp up bourbon production at its largest Kentucky distillery to meet growing global demand in a more than $400 million expansion to be powered by renewable energy.
According to the brand, the new Extra Aged rye was distilled and barreled in 2012 and matured in four warehouses on the Beam campus-M, J, F, and 5, to be exact-for 11 years before bottling.
