The average cost of a Fourth of July picnic for 10 people will cost $70.92 in 2025, down slightly from $71.22 last year.

The federation says that the cost of ground beef is the highest price ever recorded for its survey. Potato salad was up nearly 7% and canned pork and beans increased 20 cents from 2024 prices.

A notable difference between the state and national survey was found in the price of pork chops. Nationally, three pounds of pork chops are down 8.8% from last year at $14.13.
