Kedah Menteri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor’s mother, Meriam Ahmad, died today while receiving treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Setar. She was 74.

It is now confirmed that a new Kedah menteri besar will be sworn in tomorrow at 2pm, at Wisma Darul Aman, Alor Setar.
