There are a couple of ways to load up Virtual Backgrounds in Zoom. Before a meeting, open the Zoom app and click the gear icon in the upper-right corner. This opens the Settings menu.

And while Zoom has a decent collection of built-in backgrounds, I found myself longing for something a bit more exciting, bold, unique, and/or interesting. Which led me to the following sites. . . .

1. A neutral background rules. During the months you are interviewing, set up your desk and computer so that you have a neutral background behind you -- preferably a blank wall or a bookcase.

The six backgrounds selected for the study were categorized as: home (living room), blurred home, bookcase, plants, blank wall and novelty – in this case a walrus in front of an iceberg.
