Cooler screens are becoming more common at Kroger, CVS, Walgreens, and other retailers. But shoppers on TikTok say they're making it harder to go grocery shopping.

Kroger and Cooler Screens, the technology company behind the futuristic and controversial smart doors, partnered together in May to replace traditional doors with new smart screens at 500 U.S. stores.

As part of their contract, Cooler Screens had installed 10,000 smart doors at hundreds of U.S. Walgreens locations, according to Bloomberg, and had plans to install 35,000 more doors.
