Downtown Marion Inc. received a $100,000 grant to build an archway in downtown Marion. The archway will be located near Founders Park, at the intersection of South Main and East Church streets.

The arch could be built with private funds, said John Estus, a spokesman for the Office of Management and Enterprise Services. The proposed parking garage would cost an estimated $20.5 million.
