The Fremont City Council selected a final district elections map on Tuesday by a 3-2 vote, choosing a map that was significantly less popular in online voting.

Maps C-1 and C-2a both would create six voting districts in the city, with the key differences involving boundary lines around the neighborhoods of Centerville, Glenmoor and Parkmont.
