BMW has confirmed that it will kick off the Neue Klasse era with the second-generation iX3, which has already been previewed by a concept. Once the iX3 arrives, BMW will follow it up with the new i3.

For reference, the CLAR-based BMW i5 sedan offers no more than 582 kilometers (362 miles) on a full charge of its 83.9- kWh battery, of which 81.3 kilowatt hours are usable.
