Spain's antitrust regulator said on Tuesday it was expanding its investigation into possible anti-competitive behaviour by Apple for allegedly imposing unequal commercial conditions on developers of mobile applications sold at its app marketplace.

The European Union is set to accept the June updates that Apple made to its App Store to comply with the Digital Markets Act, reports Reuters. As

Spain’s National Commission of Markets and Competition (CNMC) launched the investigation in July 2024, accusing Apple of “imposing unfair commercial conditions” on the developers of mobile applications that are sold in its App Store. Apple could be “abusing its dominant market position,” the regulators said.
