The log manifolds were replaced with Ram Air Restoration Enterprises 2.45-inch outlet ram-air manifolds and its 2.50-inch mandrel-bent head pipes. This was going to be a very interesting test.

After installation of the Hooker 1 7/8-inch long-tube headers (and 3-inch collector extensions), the power output jumped to 681 hp at 6,700 rpm and 578 lb-ft of torque at 5,100 rpm.
