I bought Adobe Creative Suite CS6 years ago and it included Acrobat Pro X. I am not a power user but I like the ability to be able to copy and paste from other PDFs and to combine documents.

The Pro version adds character recognition for scanned documents, comparison between two PDFs, and the ability to add accessibility features to PDFs. Odds are very high you just need Acrobat Reader.

Adobe offers the free Acrobat Reader (review), Adobe Acrobat Standard and Adobe Acrobat Pro. There’s also a new AI assistant for Acrobat which costs an extra $4.99/£4.98 a month.
