As Justin Trudeau faces political troubles at home, a Canadian newspaper has reported that a close aide of the prime minister leaked “intel” to the Washington Post before the police held an official briefing.

Two senior aides of Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau reportedly shared confidential information on India's alleged "interference" in Canadian affairs with US newspaper The Washington Post.

Notably, this intelligence was not scheduled for public release until RCMP Commissioner Mike Duheme’s planned news conference on Thanksgiving Day.
