The Week 17 win over the San Francisco 49ers hit a few Detroit Lions players hard in the pocketbook. Three Lions earned fines from the NFL for actions in Monday night’s game. All three are in Detroit’s secondary. Safety Brian Branch got fined by the league a total of $10,128 for unnecessary roughness (use of helmet).

The Arizona Cardinals want to close the season with a win, improve to 8-9 and beat the San Francisco 49ers for the second time when they face them Sunday in Week 18. It would even their division record to 3-3 and give them a season sweep over the Niners for the first time since 2021.
